How To Pick Up a Bike

We Are Open On Mondays For 2026

This is Step 3 of our process for getting a bike.  Step 1 is getting a voucher. If you do not have a voucher yet, click here.

There are two ways to come to our site to pick up a bike. You can make an appointment, or you can come as a walk-in. To find out about making an appointment, click here. To find out about coming as a walk-in, click here.

We do our bike distributions on Mondays, starting at 3:00 PM.

Pickup will be at our shop at 17B Airport Road. This is close to the Market Basket on Amherst Street, which is a stop on the #2 Nashua bus line.

Directions to our location can be found here.

Our entrance is around the back of our building.

Please bring your voucher when you come to pick up a bike.

If you can never come on a Monday due to a conflict with a standing appointment that you cannot miss, have your case manager reach out to us to make an alternative arrangement.

What You Will Get

When you come for your appointment, we will you show you a selection f bikes that we have already cleaned, repaired, tuned, and inspected. You will be able to pick from that selection.  We do ask for your height when you make your appointment so that we can try to have a few bikes that are the appropriate size for you. We cannot, however, guarantee a specific type or color of bike.

Please also note that we do not allow people to browse through our shop to pick out bikes that are still waiting to be repaired, or which have been set aside for other purposes.

We will give you a lock, lights, and we will offer you a helmet. Please do not take a helmet if you are not going to wear it. We will respect your choice and appreciate your honesty about this. Most, but not all, of our bikes are equipped with water bottle holders, and we sometimes have bottles or other accessories available, but we cannot promise them.

Bikes from Gate City Bike Co-Op are used, and given out “as is,” without warranty or guarantee. You are responsible for safe riding and for maintenance of the bike. If a bike that we give you has problems within a short time of you receiving it, we will repair it for free if possible, be we may have to keep the bike for a while.  We cannot guarantee while-you-wait or same-day service. We may offer to replace the bike for you in some cases.
